Works are required to 3Nr Tilia cordata, identified as numbers 3, 5 & 6 on the Tree Constraints Plan - 120608-Siddington-TCP-Rev D-AM by Tree Research-Tree 3 requires removal of the Epicormic growth to a height upto 3m-Tree 5 requires removal of the Epicormic growth to a height upto 2.5m-Tree 6 requires removal of the Epicormic growth to a height upto 2.5m The works are required to facilitate a health check of each of the trees with a specific view to confirming the presence of Kretzschmaria deusta which had been noted by a previous survey by Civic Trees, and to enable better access for a visual inspection by the LPA arboricultural officer.The specification for the works is as follows:Epicormic growth less than 20mm in diameter should be pruned cleanly back to its point of origin with a sharpe knif of secateurs, avoiding damaging the bark of the tree. Growth greater than 20mm should be cut back with a silky saw or similar, to avoid damage to the branch bark ridge and collar. Under no circumstances should a chainsaw be used in this operation. All shoots must be removed back to but not into the branch collar leaving no projections or exaggerating the size of the wound. |
