Would not look to replant as replacement trees would impact on the mature Oak. A possible alternative option would be to cut these yews down to 6-8 feet, and then trim regrowth to maintain height without impacting on the mature Oak; and2 Yew trees on the boundary (Yew 5 and Yew 4 on sketch plan) - Yew 5 (neighbours property) with the trunk within 2 feet of the fence line. Crown lift to 4 metres from ground level, as currently excessive shading. Yew 4 requires a 4 meter crown lift to provide light as excessive shading, and a light reduction by 1 to 2 meters on the side inside the garden to match in with the rest of the crown. |
